Visa & Documentation
Planning your food experience in India starts with the right travel documents. Here’s what you need to know before your visit.
Yes, most foreign travelers need a visa to enter India. However, citizens of many countries can apply for an e-Tourist Visa (e-Visa) online, which is the easiest and most common option for short visits.
You can apply online through the official Indian government e-Visa portal. The process involves filling out an application form, uploading required documents, and paying the visa fee. Once approved, the e-Visa is sent to your email.
Typically, you will need:
- A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity)
- A recent passport-size photograph
- A scanned copy of your passport
- Travel details (flight & stay information)
Requirements may vary depending on your nationality.
For an e-Visa, processing usually takes 3–5 business days. It’s recommended to apply at least a week before your travel date to avoid delays.
India offers different e-Visas such as 30-day, 1-year, and 5-year tourist visas. The duration of stay per visit depends on the visa type granted.
While we do not directly process visas, we’re happy to guide you with general information to make your application process smoother.
If your visa is rejected, you can review the reason, correct any issues, and reapply. In some cases, applying through a different visa category or with updated documents may help.
